MATERIALS
Every item is crafted from a clay body and coated with glaze, which serves as the foundation for selecting dinnerware. The production and glazing process involves numerous steps and considerations. For instance, a piece may look darker if slightly less glaze is used or if the firing temperature fluctuates by a few degrees.
Each piece is one-of-a-kind, showcasing the inherent uniqueness of handmade items.
CLAYS
We use three main clay bodies. Each one has its own character. The same glaze interacts differently on each clay.

Dark Clay is a stoneware clay, quite smooth and very dark greyish in colour. The shade of the clay varies depending on the temperature at which it is fired.

Creme Clay is a stoneware clay, with light colour and a few iron speckles. Depending on the temperature and the glaze the amount of speckles varies.

Grey Clay is a stoneware clay with a texture resembling a salt and pepper blend. The shade of the clay varies depending on the temperature at which it is fired.
WHITE GLOSSY ON CREME
Our Creme clay includes iron, which is responsible for the speckles in the glaze. The quantity of speckles changes based on the firing temperature. While the white glossy is generally stable, variations in the amount of glaze applied will lead to differences in the shades of white.
You can find it at Ottolenghi Delis & Pilgrm.
OAT ON CREME CLAY
This glaze is essentially a clear matte glaze, applied on our creme clay allowing the colour of the clay to show while offering smooth texture inside the dinnerware. Variation for this glaze might include a slightly more glossy or matte finish depending on the firing temperature.

You can find it at Bubala, ROVI & Lyra in Bahrain
SAGE GREEN ON CREME
A matte finish of a green that is quite light. This glaze can have many different variations and that is why we love it. If you opt in for this glaze be prepared to receive a variety of tones of light green similar to sage leaves.

You can find it at Kiln, Bubala & Kolae
NATURAL GREY
This is a clear matte glaze similar to Oat, applied on grey clay, which highlights the clay's natural colour while providing a smooth texture inside the dinnerware. Variation in this glaze can result in a slightly glossier or more matte finish, influenced by the firing temperature, and the clay batch may appear slightly more brown or grey. Grey clay is more porous, and when left unglazed, it develops a patina.
You can find it at Ottolenghi Delis, NOPI, Bubala, and Paradise Soho. Lydia Miller has utilized this if you're searching for it.
WHITE MATTE ON GREY
This is one of our most sought-after combinations of glazes and clay. The white glaze is opaque and gentle. In the Coupe Collection, we have left a wider rim unglazed, while in the Square Sided Collection, we glaze the exterior and leave just the rim unglazed. The grey clay is more porous and will develop a patina where left unglazed. The white glaze is prone to cutlery marks, but these can be easily buffed out using Barkeepers Friend.
You can find this collection at Ottolenghi Delis, Mazi, Suzitros, and Rosewood Hotels in Hawaii and St. Barts.
WHITE MATTE ON DARK
Experience a stunning contrast of dark and light, perfect for any home or restaurant. The artisan's distinct lines are highlighted in this clay and glaze blend, variations in color occur based on kiln placement, ensuring each piece is one-of-a-kind. Please note that the glazes in this collection are more prone to cutlery marks, but can be easily buffed out using Barkeepers Friend.

INDIGO BLUE ON DARK
This near-grey blue hue beautifully complements any dish served in it. The glaze features slight variations between batches, with its shade leaning more towards blue or grey based on placement in the kiln. Matte glazes in this combination are more prone to cutlery marks, but these can be easily buffed out with Barkeepers Friend.
You can find this glaze at NOPI, Mazi, Silverberry Cafe, Fantomas, Three Darling by Atherton, and Rosewood Hotels in Hawaii and St. Barts.
STUDIO GREEN ON DARK
Emerald green against a dark clay backdrop. Slight shifts in kiln temperature may produce a range of shades in our Studio Green, with hints of blue notes appearing on select pieces.
You can discover it at Annabels & Rosewood Hotels in St. Barts.
WHITE GLOSSY ON DARK
One of our most popular glaze & clay combinations. The unglazed raw exterior comes in contrast with the white glossy glaze creating an elegant piece of dinnerware. We dip or use a pump for smaller pieces which leaves a variegated pattern with more of the clay showing through on parts of the inside of the pieces.
