Food and image are inextricably connected, the better the food looks the tastier we think it is. What better way to enhance this, other than serving delicious food on your own beautiful handmade ceramic plates!
On the first session you will learn basic techniques and how to slab build your plates using different tools. During this stage, you will be able to decorate the clay and shape your plates. After the first course, your plates will be left to dry and fired in our kiln for the first time.
On the second session, you will learn how to glaze your plates and add any decoration on the glaze you will choose through a variety of our colors and glazes. You will be shown how to create different effects on the glazing and how to different finishes. We will then fire your plates for the second and last time and you should be able to collect them within 6 to 8 weeks.
